About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). FDOT intends to enter into a single source contract with Dynatest US Inc. to procure one Pavement Deflection System (PDS). The PDS is a critical part of FDOT's design and structural evaluation programs, and it must be capable of performing a complete test sequence within 15 seconds or less. The deflection data gathered from the system will be used for monitoring, assessing, and reporting on the condition and performance of Florida's roadways for pavement design and safety purposes. The estimated dollar amount for this procurement is $185,010.80.
FDOT has determined that Dynatest US Inc. is the only known vendor in Florida that can meet the Department's requirements for the PDS. The Department is required to provide notice of its intended decision to enter a single-source purchase contract in accordance with Florida Statutes. The contract opportunity is applicable to Leon County and the City of Tallahassee.
