About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for a "Fresh From Florida" Grocery Retailer Marketing Program. The Division of Marketing and Development seeks promotional advertising services through a partnership with Almacenista Importadores Genesa to promote Florida food and beverage products in the grocery retail sector of the Dominican Republic. The contract is intended for execution with a term ending June 30, 2027. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services posted this notice on August 24, 2026, with a deadline for prospective vendors to submit information by September 15, 2026, allowing a 15-business-day advertisement period as required by Florida Statutes sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3).

The estimated contract amount ranges from approximately $45,000 to $60,000. Almacenista Importadores Genesa has been identified as the single source vendor based on its unique ability to provide comprehensive services including product importation, logistics assistance, marketing and promotion, and distribution to the Dominican Republic's grocery retail channel. The vendor is also uniquely capable of planning and executing in-store and online promotions and collaborating with local retailers to provide sales lift data. The Department is authorized under Florida Statute section 570 to promote agricultural products through various media channels, provided all promotional use of the "Fresh From Florida" logo complies with departmental rules and is coordinated through authorized partners. Multiple divisions within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services have approved this single-source acquisition.
