About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, specifically for the Florida Forest Service Forestry Center. The agency intends to purchase seedling trays from Stuewe & Sons, Inc. as a one-time purchase, with the procurement posted on 10/27/2025 and the last day for receipt of information being 11/18/2025. The purchase is for agriculture, forestry, and garden hand tools, including packaging machinery, to support the tree nursery program and establish fair pricing for seedlings sold to the public in accordance with Section 589.11, Florida Statutes.

The estimated dollar amount for this single source acquisition ranges from an approximate amount of up to $350,000.00 to a specific contract amount of $248,472.00. The justification for selecting Stuewe & Sons, Inc. as the sole source is that they are the only known manufacturer of the FT-96 seedling tray that will operate properly in the current seed sowing line and fit correctly on T-Rail suspension fields at the Florida Forest Forestry Center. The document has been approved by multiple officials, including the Environmental Supervisor of the Florida Forest Service Forestry Center, the Director of Florida Forest Service, and administrative directors.
