About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Division of the Florida State Guard for the procurement of 18 night vision goggles. The solicitation was posted on 4/14/2025 with a last day for receipt of information on May 2, 2025, and covers night vision goggles intended for use across multiple aircraft types including powered fixed wing, safety and rescue, military rotary wing, and civilian rotary wing aircraft. The night vision goggles are specified to have high-resolution Gen 3 image intensification tubes, auto-gating capabilities, a 40-degree field of view, sharp optical clarity, and FAA TSO C164a aviation safety compliance.
The estimated dollar amount for this single-source procurement is $245,000.00, with the justification being the need to maintain training continuity and common maintenance requirements by acquiring the same type of night vision goggles currently in the inventory. The document emphasizes that having different types of night vision goggles is considered unsafe and detrimental to their program. The procurement has been approved by key personnel including the Purchasing Director of the Department of Military Services, the Budget Officer of the Florida State Guard, and the General Counsel Manager. Prospective vendors are invited to provide information about their ability to supply the described commodities, with the agency reserving the right to determine if the items are available from a single source.
