About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for a "Fresh from Florida" Grocery Retailer Marketing Program with Primafruit Ltd. The contract is for brand promotion and sales activities focused on marketing Florida grapefruit in Waitrose Supermarket grocery stores, with performance requirements including sourcing Florida grapefruit, generating retail sales through in-store promotions, magazines, television, and social media advertising using the "Fresh From Florida" logo. The contract term runs from execution through June 30, 2026, with a posting date of 06/16/2025 and a last day for receipt of information of 07/08/2025.

The estimated contract amount is $35,000.00, with an approximate maximum of up to $50,000.00. Primafruit Ltd is identified as the sole source for this contract because it is the only distributor of Florida grapefruit to Waitrose Supermarkets and the only known source approved by Waitrose to promote Florida grapefruit through various advertising channels. The vendor must be a non-paid member of the "Fresh From Florida" Industry Membership program. The justification for single-source acquisition is based on Primafruit's exclusive distribution rights and promotional approvals with Waitrose Supermarkets.
