About this file
This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) document from the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) seeking software coding classes and re-entry employment services for the Office of Programs and Re-Entry. The document outlines a five-year (60-month) contract for software coding services, computer programmed instruction, and computer-based training software, with a solicitation period from March 18, 2025, to April 8, 2025. The requested services include open enrollment software coding classes delivered via a closed network lab with a full-time virtual teacher, covering 1,500 hours of curriculum and resulting in a Full Stack Developer Certification upon completion.
The intended single source vendor is Persevere, Inc. from Salt Lake City, Utah, with an estimated contract value of $3,375,000.00. Persevere was selected because their unique program not only provides coding classes but also offers graduates access to their Share Services Center for job placement and coaching, and has established Banyan Labs to help participants secure employment and develop tech careers. The non-profit organization exclusively owns its curriculum and services, which are not available from other vendors. The document indicates that Persevere is the only vendor determined to meet the Department of Corrections' specific requirements at this time.
