About this file
This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) posted by the Division of the Florida State Guard for the purchase of a Volatus Aerospace drone and command and control (C2) apparatus. The Division of the Florida State Guard intends to purchase an enterprise-grade coaxial unmanned aerial vehicle and associated accessories and components from Volatus Aerospace USA Corp. as the sole source provider. The contract term is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, with a total estimated value of $798,782.00. The Division has determined that Volatus Aerospace is the only known manufacturer and distributor of the required drone and C2 system, and they are not available through any other third-party vendor.
The justification for the single-source acquisition is that the Volatus Aerospace Spirit All-Weather Unmanned Aerial Vehicle and related accessories and components are necessary and unique to the Division's requirements. The procurement has been approved by the Purchasing Director, Deputy of JAG, Purchasing Manager, and Budget Officer of the relevant state agencies. Prospective vendors are invited to provide information regarding their ability to supply the required commodities or services, and the agency will consider any responses received before making a final determination on the single-source purchase.
