About this file
This is a Notice of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services on behalf of the Florida Forest Service. The procurement seeks upgrades and modifications to existing drone equipment, specifically four Pilot Pro Controller Solo (Herelink) units with integration capability and four Strobe Upgrade Packages. The Florida Forest Service intends to use this equipment to enhance its fire management capabilities, reduce threats to life, property, and forests, and support prescribed fire operations as authorized under Florida Statutes 590. The deadline for prospective vendors to submit information regarding their ability to supply these commodities is October 28, 2026, following a 15-business-day advertisement period that began October 7, 2026. No formal bidders' conference or site visit is mentioned in this notice.
The estimated contract amount is $54,780.00. The single-source justification specifies that Drone Amplified, Inc. is the sole provider capable of supplying these items because they are proprietary configurations engineered specifically for integration with the Florida Forest Service's existing MONTIS avalanche mitigation and IGNIS aerial ignition systems. Drone Amplified designs, assembles, and configures the equipment in-house and is the only company authorized to install, calibrate, and warranty these systems on the agency's existing airframes. The procurement has been approved by multiple Florida Forest Service officials and the Division of Administration. Prospective vendors may submit information indicating their ability to provide alternative solutions, though the agency has determined that competition is unavailable for these proprietary configurations.
