About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The agency is seeking to acquire an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) fire ignition system and ignition ball dispensing system using the Freefly Alta X Drone, meeting Florida's security requirements. The UAS will be used for surveying and removal of invasive species, as well as conducting prescribed fire ignition, surveillance, and monitoring. The system must include a thermal infrared camera, aerial ignition capabilities, and allow for adjustments in the field. The agency has identified Drone Amplified, Inc. as the sole source provider, as they have developed the only functional UAS Fire Ignition System meeting the legislative, security, and intended use requirements. The estimated dollar amount for this single-source acquisition is up to $410,000.

The document notes that the UAS may not be produced by a manufacturer domiciled in or owned/controlled by a "Foreign Country of Concern," and data storage must be restricted to the continental United States. The contract term is for 1 year upon issuance of the purchase order. Prospective vendors must provide information regarding their ability to supply the requested commodities or services by March 14th, 2024.
