About this file
This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (Form PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission for a Fleet Service Plan and In-Person Training for IGNIS aerial ignition systems manufactured by Drone Amplified. The agency seeks a three-year term contract that includes annual maintenance of existing and future IGNIS Aerial Ignition Systems (up to twenty total units) and three-day in-person training for new FWC pilots on IGNIS Ignition Systems and Alta X drones. The contact for this procurement is Adrian Wiggins, located at 1875 Orange Ave E, Tallahassee, FL 32311-6160, with a telephone number of (850) 410-0471 and email Adrian.Wiggins@myfwc.com. The last day for receipt of vendor information demonstrating capability to supply these services is February 10, 2026.
The estimated dollar amount for this single-source procurement is $284,000 over the three-year term. The justification for single-source acquisition is based on the proprietary nature of the IGNIS systems, with annual maintenance available exclusively through Drone Amplified. Additionally, Section 4A of the FWC Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Use and Safety Manual requires manufacturer-provided training for employees and volunteers to qualify as small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Pilot in Command, making Drone Amplified the sole qualified vendor for this training requirement. The systems are utilized for prescribed fire activities on Wildlife Management Areas and Wildlife and Environmental Areas throughout Florida. The procurement was approved by multiple FWC personnel including the Contract Manager, District Biologist, Regional Biologists, Section Leader, Deputy Division Director, and Purchasing Director.
