About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (Form PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services. The agency is seeking to procure new facility access control hardware, security cameras, and an intrusion detection system to function in accordance with laboratory biosafety level 3 containment protocol. The products and services required include access hardware, magnetic locks, motion sensors, door controllers, an IP camera system, and integration with the existing campus security network. The intended single source vendor is Redwire, with an estimated total contract value of up to $94,000 and an approximate contract amount of $69,907.16. The contract term is from 11/04/2022 to 02/03/2023.

The justification for the single source procurement is that Redwire has previously implemented the proprietary systems at the agency's facilities, and introducing an alternate system would not be practicable for continuity of laboratory operations. Prospective vendors who believe they can provide these services are requested to submit relevant information to the agency by 10/25/2022, after which the agency will make a final determination on the single source decision.
