About this file
This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for Leonardo Helicopter maintenance, service, and parts. The Florida Forest Service, Aviation Section, seeks to procure maintenance, servicing, and original equipment manufacturer parts for six AW119Kx Leonardo Helicopters over a three-year contract term. The procurement is intended to ensure optimal aircraft performance, airworthiness, operational readiness, and regulatory compliance during extreme conditions. The notice was posted on May 1, 2026, with a deadline for prospective vendors to submit information regarding their ability to supply the required commodities or services by May 22, 2026. This advertisement satisfies the statutory requirement for a 15-business-day notice period prior to the agency's intended single source purchase decision.
The estimated contract value is $500,000. AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation, a division of Leonardo Helicopters, is identified as the sole intended source, as it is the only known resource capable of providing comprehensive spare parts support, technical publications, aircraft storage, preservation, preventative maintenance, and on-demand maintenance services specific to the AW119Kx aircraft. The single source justification is based on the manufacturer's exclusive capability to meet the specialized technical and operational requirements necessary for the Florida Forest Service's helicopter fleet. The contact for this procurement is Stephanie Bergozza, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Tallahassee, Florida.
