About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) filed by the Florida Department of Citrus for citrus juice dispensing services at Florida Welcome Stations. The Department seeks to procure 100% orange juice and grapefruit juice from a Florida-based vendor, along with cups, advertising placement, signage, and marketing and public relations support to promote Florida citrus products. The services will be provided for a one-year contract term from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Prospective vendors interested in providing these services must submit relevant information to Sharon McLeod, the purchasing contact, by April 27, 2026. The posting date was April 6, 2026, with a minimum 15-business-day posting period required. Contract Manager Katelynn Long identified the requestor for this acquisition.

The estimated contract value is $250,000. The Department intends to award this contract as a single source to the Florida Commission on Tourism/Florida Tourism Industry Marketing Corporation, dba VISIT FLORIDA, based on prior funding authorization specified in the General Appropriations Act prior to 2014 for citrus juice dispensing at Welcome Stations. VISIT FLORIDA is a not-for-profit public/private partnership corporation created by the Florida Legislature in 1996 and serves as Florida's official tourism marketing entity. Performance requirements include the vendor providing monthly Welcome Center reports detailing total kiosk interactions, photographs and supporting documentation of promotional services, and collaboration on social media platforms and special travel tourism-related promotions. The procurement is authorized under Florida Statute section 601.10(12). Prospective vendors may submit information challenging the single-source determination by the stated deadline.
