About this file

This is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (Form PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Citrus, seeking to procure citrus juice dispensing services at Florida Welcome Stations for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. The contract involves providing 100% orange and grapefruit juice from a Florida-based vendor, including cups, juice, advertising placement, and signage. The document outlines requirements for the vendor to provide monthly reports on Welcome Center interactions, collaborate on social media platforms, and support special travel tourism-related promotions to maximize the partnership's impact.

The intended single source is the Florida Commission on Tourism/Florida Tourism Industry Marketing Corporation (VISIT FLORIDA), with an estimated contract value of $250,000. The justification for the single-source acquisition stems from historical funding practices, where prior to 2014, the Department of Citrus was authorized to reimburse VISIT FLORIDA for citrus juice dispensed at Welcome Stations. VISIT FLORIDA is described as a not-for-profit, public/private partnership created by the Florida Legislature in 1996, serving as the state's official source for travel planning. The document was posted on April 3, 2025, with the last day for receipt of information being April 24, 2025, and it is approved by Sharon McLeod, Purchasing Manager.
