About this file
Summary
This is a Scope of Work document for janitorial services to be provided by the Town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, at three municipal facilities: the Public Works Campus, the Post Office and Courthouse Facility, and Town Hall. The services requested encompass comprehensive janitorial and custodial work including daily cleaning, floor maintenance, restroom servicing, trash removal, and grounds maintenance across all three locations. The contract requires qualified organizations to provide trained personnel, cleaning supplies, and equipment necessary to maintain these facilities to specified cleanliness standards. The document outlines detailed performance requirements, including frequency of cleaning tasks, quality standards, and emergency response protocols. While specific response and due dates are not detailed in the scope document itself, interested bidders should submit proposals according to the timeline established in the related solicitation materials. The contract term and any renewal options would be specified in the formal invitation for bids or request for proposals.
The scope of work emphasizes performance standards and operational requirements rather than pricing structure; however, proposers should anticipate providing comprehensive pricing for labor, materials, and equipment across all three facilities. The Town of Chapel Hill will evaluate proposals based on the bidder's qualifications, experience with similar municipal janitorial contracts, staffing capabilities, and proposed service quality measures. Any incumbent contractor information and specific funding allocations would be detailed in the formal solicitation documents. The work requires understanding of municipal facility operations and the ability to coordinate scheduling among multiple locations while maintaining uninterrupted service to government operations.
