About this file

This is a Proposer RFP Checklist document for the City of Santa Monica, California, providing guidance for respondents to a Request for Proposals for Community Sustainability Engagement and Green Business Certification/Recognition Programs. The checklist outlines essential preparation steps for proposers, including thorough review of all RFP documentation, attendance at any pre-proposal conferences offered, submission of clarifying questions by specified deadlines, and review of formal addenda posted on the City's OpenGov online vendor portal. Proposers must follow the exact format specified in the RFP, provide point-by-point responses to all sections, and submit responses by the stated deadline; late proposals will not be accepted under any circumstances.

The checklist emphasizes that proposals are evaluated solely on information and materials provided in the response and requires proposers to acknowledge receipt of all issued addenda with their submissions. Critical items requiring attention include mandatory requirements, supplies and services specifications, contract requirements such as insurance and performance reporting obligations, and all relevant dates and times listed on the RFP front page. Proposers are strongly advised to conduct a final comprehensive review of the RFP document immediately before submission to ensure all requirements have been fully addressed and to verify that no addenda have been missed or remain unacknowledged.
