About this file

This document is a Statement of Objectives (SOO) for a life cycle replacement of a critical trailer component for the FLNG-CDP program. The AMRT (Advanced Mobile Reconnaissance Team) seeks a commercial off-the-shelf enclosed trailer to replace the YF309J, Trailer, Special Purpose, which is the primary equipment utilized during reconnaissance and observation operations. The trailer must provide next-generation command and control (NGC2) capabilities both on the move and at the halt.

The required trailer specifications include dimensions of 8 feet wide by 22 feet long with an 11-foot, 6-inch overall height, and a 26-foot overall length with hitch attached. The trailer must feature a 2 5/16-inch adjustable hitch ball, tandem axle configuration with a vehicle identification number, a gross axle weight rating of 7,000 lbs., a gross vehicle weight rating of 14,000 lbs., curb weight of 3,500 lbs., and a payload capacity of 11,000 lbs. Structural and materials requirements include lightweight, wood-free, fully insulated composite panels for the roof, floor, sidewalls, and door panels built on an aluminum C-channel frame, plus a fully composite spring-loaded drop-down ramp at the rear. The trailer must include exterior features such as one lockable curbside door, an aluminum ladder on the front curbside wall, a telescoping mast and mount on the front roadside exterior wall, two roof racks, and a fabricated 7.5kw generator mount on the trailer hitch. Mechanical and electrical systems must include two 15,000 BTU air conditioners on the roof, a 30-gallon fuel tank with 12v pump and digital gauge, a signal entry panel on the roadside near the rear ramp, a 50-amp power inlet with a 100-amp electrical box, a 100 Ah lithium 12V LiFePO4 deep cycle battery, and a 12V-100V converter battery charger. Interior requirements include laminated drop ceilings with outlets every 24 inches, dimming red, white, and blue LED light strips, a fire extinguisher, a carbon dioxide alarm, an 8-foot E-track loading system along each interior wall, and work stations along the roadside interior wall.
