About this file

This sole source justification document proposes awarding a contract to Allied Telecom Group for upgrading telecommunications services at the Logan Building of the Dignitary Protective Division of the United States Secret Service. The upgrade is needed to support increased staffing and mission responsibilities at the building, and would include a base year and four option years at an estimated total value of $69,480. As the landlord and general contractor for the building, Jack I. Bender & Sons has first right of refusal for any work. Allied Telecom Group was procured by Jack I. Bender to handle all Logan Building internet needs, making them the only source reasonably available according to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The contracting officer will determine price fairness and reasonableness using current market quotes, previous government prices paid, or other comparison methods. Notice of intent to make this sole source award will be posted along with the justification as required.
