Questions for the CRNA Solicitation No.

Specifically, she ask for number of OR's, number of Anesthesia providers, numbers of cases per month, OB cases per month, type of equipment available, and the services supported. – 3 Operating Rooms, 2 anesthesia providers, 45-80 cases per month, OB cases delivery rate is around 300 per year. Equipment – Machines are new GE Aisys CS2.

Can you tell me how many OR’s there are, how many CRNA’s/MDA’s there are that currently work there and what the call ratio is? - 3 OR’s, one specifically for C-sections. 2 CRNAs working full time, usually working one week at a time. They cover call for the hours not actually working.

Clarify on the estimated holiday (60) and weekend (612) hours. Are you wanting the hourly pager fee or the hourly call back fee? – Holiday hours are broken down as follows:

Estimated 6 hours per Federal Holiday (10 holidays times 6 hours = 60 Holiday hours x 2 CRNA’s = 120 Holiday hrs. Weekend hours are 52 weekends x 2 CRNA’s X 2 days each weekend = 208 weekend hours x 6 hours per day for a total of 1248 weekend hours. This covers the hours of a holiday or weekend.

How many hours per day on average will they be working in the clinic? (Several providers have expressed concerns over not being able to get 40 hours if the hospital is slow) - 8 hours guaranteed per day and 16 hours of on-call for a 24 hour day. Most days work is less than 8 hours worked, with occasional call back after hours. The typical week is less than 40 hours in a week, but rare occasions will be over 40 hours in a week.

On average, how many times per night is the provider called back in per night, per month? – Average of (2) to (3) times per week with a monthly average of (6-7) times per month. There can be rare times when there are multiple calls a night, but most times there could be a week without a call, or only 1 or 2 for the whole week.

Are there any ultrasound guided blocks? - NO

Can you tell me specifically how many CRNA’s are needed? – (2) CRNAs to cover the work day and provide 24/7 coverage.

The statement of work lists the schedule as an 8 hour day, 5 days per week as well as weeknight and weekend call. The pricing lists 4160 hours but does not have any line items for carrying a pager on the weeknight or weekend. – the 4160 hours is an all-inclusive cost to include pager fee, on-call fee and call-back fee. The typical work week averages about 40 hours a week, to include the hours worked during the day and after hours. These hours vary per day/week/month.

Typically on bids like these I see pricing similar to: Regular Hourly rate: xx hours Weeknight Call: xx hours Weekend Call: xx hours Callback: xx hours

- Three line items to include 4160 Regular hours (to include Weeknight call , pager fee and call back) – Holiday call 120 hours (to cover specific holidays) and weekend call 1248 hours (covering weekends) all-inclusive.

Will there be additional line items added or will we need to adjust pricing accordingly to include call and callback in the hourly rate? –No, there will not be additional line items. All pricing must be all inclusive to include on-call, call back and pager fee.
