All explosive squibs will be removed by the Government prior to shipment; no explosive devices will be included in shipped materials.

3.2.1. The Government will ship the material to the Contractor’s facility and will facilitate shipping the material to the Contractor with technical information regarding the physical and chemical nature of the material to include possible hazards consistent with battery reclamation. Battery Material Safety Data Sheets (SDS) will be provided for each shipment as an attachment to the delivery order and will identify all hazardous materials present in the shipment.

3.2.1.1. The Government will provide the following information for each shipment:

a) The total weight of materials packaged;

b) The total number of pallets in shipment;

c) The account number the refined silver is to be credited to.

d) Material Safety Data Sheets identifying all hazardous materials present

b) Silver-Zinc with Cadmium oxide Lead Oxide and Bismuth Oxide;

c) Silver Chloride;

d) Silver-Zinc

3.2.2. Contractor shall process silver bearing materials to extract 99.9% pure silver in bullion form.

Contractor shall credit bullion to a designated account in the name of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center

– Keyport Division. The Contractor shall maintain the credited bullion account until silver is needed for re-use. When requested by the Government, silver shall be transferred electronically to the specified account of a Government selected battery manufacturer.

3.2.2.2. Processing of the silver-bearing material shall be completed and the silver available for transfer within 60 days after receipt of a silver-bearing material shipment.

3.2.3. Submit status report (CDRL A001) of materials received and processed at the Contractor’s facility to include:

a) The total unrefined weight of materials received;

b) The total silver content of materials received;

c) The number of troy ounces of 99.9% silver refined;

d) The account number and deposit information the silver was credited to

e) Name and title of designated Contractor account manager and neutral third-party observer.

3.2.4. The Contractor account manager will be the authorized point of contact within the Contractor's organization for all account updates (credits or debits of silver amounts).
