Subject: Pre-solicitation Notice/Request for Information (RFI) #DoDCC-2021-RFI-
0001 –Retail Military Memorabilia, Gifts, Shoe Shine & Shoe Repair, The Pentagon, Arlington, VA
Dear Sir or Madam:
The Department of Defense Concessions Committee (DoDCC) intends to solicit interested vendors (through the competitive solicitation process) for a single follow-on License Agreement for a firm to operate and manage multiple concepts including retail military memorabilia, gifts, shoe shine and shoe repair concepts in designated space (retail store in Room 2D1075; shoe repair & shoe shine in Room 2E1082; and a kiosk in the Tour Area of the Metro Entrance Facility) within the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. As a result, the DoDCC is inquiring to determine firms interested in this opportunity in response to a DoDCC issued solicitation anticipated to be released in March 2021.
The Pentagon houses a workforce of 28,000 and welcomes an average daily visitor count numbering in the thousands (Pre-COVID-19). To provide for the daily retail needs of both the workforce and visitors, the Pentagon contains a shopping area known as the Concourse. The Concourse houses retail stores including a CVS retail store and pharmacy, a dentist office, a dry cleaner, a chocolate store, a men’s and women’s clothing store, a florist, a hair salon, an AT&T store, a jewelry store, an optometrist and various restaurants. The Pentagon also currently has a company operating these concepts in the Pentagon.
Although the specific details of this requirement will be provided in the solicitation, the successful offeror will be required to manage and operate the retail concepts stated above. The DoDCC intends to award one License Agreement to one company to manage and operate the three concepts (military memorabilia & gifts store; shoe shine and shoe repair; and memorabilia kiosk).
Please respond with an expression of interest and a statement of qualifications/experience (3-page limit), including negative replies, to the undersigned no later than March 12, 2021 via either USPS/FedEx/UPS at the following address or via email:
