The National Park Service, DOI Regions, 3, 4, and 5, NEKOTA Major Acquisition Buying Oice (MABO) intends to issue a solicitation for replacement of the existing HVAC system in the Minuteman Missile Delta-01 Launch Control Facility in Phillip, SD 57567.
The government will use a competitive Invitation for Bids/Sealed Bid process. The solicitation number will be 140P6321B0012.
This project includes all work and materials to complete the replacement of the LPG converted Kewanee Boiler and air-cooled condenser. The A/C unit’s original metal casing will remain intact with the new interior components and boiler will be in a “modern room” away from the historical aspects of the building, piping shall be run in the suspended ceiling.
This project is 100% set-aside for small businesses using NAICS Code 238220 with a size standard of $16.5 million. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
The National Park Service, DOI Regions, 3, 4, and 5, NEKOTA MABO, intends to award a firm-fixed price, construction contract in response to the solicitation.
The government intends to issue a formal Solicitation with construction specifications on or about June 25, 2021. If this date is delayed, the solicitation will follow as soon as possible.
This is the preliminary notice of a solicitation that will follow. The responses will be due approximately 30 days after the solicitation issue date and it is anticipated that the bid opening date will be scheduled in July. The specific date will be announced in the solicitation that will follow this notice.
A Pre-bid site visit is tentatively scheduled to begin at the A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for July 8, 2021 at 9:00 AM Mountain Daylight time. The site visit will begin at the Minuteman Missile Delta-01 Launch Control Facility, which is approximately one-half mile north of Interstate 90’s Exit 127. Contractors must contact Julie Gavin, julie_gavin@nps.gov, to RSVP for this site visit.
The anticipated period of performance will be approximately 90 days, which includes mobilization time. Tentative construction start time of September 2021 is projected. The final performance period start date is contingent on issuance of Notice to Proceed.
The solicitation will be available on the SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov. No hard copies or email copies will be provided.
Offerors must have a DUNS number and be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) http://www.sam.gov in order to be eligible for award. Bidding documents must be submitted in hard-copy format with bonding as per terms of the solicitation that will follow this notice.
