NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
RE: WY NPS YELL 10(23)
Grand Loop Road, Old Faithful to West Thumb Solicitation No. 69056721R000008
The attached preliminary plans are being furnished to aid prospective Offerors in identifying the location and type of work for this project. The project will be advertised during a period when viewing of the project may not be possible due to snow. Therefore, prospective Offerors are encouraged to view the project during fall as conditions permit. After October 1, 2021, access will be weather dependent; contact the Park for current road conditions at https://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/conditions.htm. No Federal Highway Administration personnel will be available for show-me tours.
Project Location and Type of Work – All project work is located in Yellowstone National Park, Teton County, Wyoming. Rehabilitation of this roadway will include removing encroaching turf from the roadway shoulder and milling and paving the full 30-foot wide roadway segment. Sub-excavation will also occur to replace the entire road structure, including the base and sub-base in areas where frost heaving has caused considerable roadway damage.
Guardrails, culverts, and other drainage structures that require rehabilitation will also be replaced and improved to bring these transportation infrastructure elements into states of good repair.
Technical Questions – All technical questions must be submitted by email wfl.plans-spec@dot.gov or FAX 360-619-7932.
General Questions – Contact our office at wfl.contracts@dot.gov or at 360-619-7520.
Solicitation documents – Documents will be available during the winter of 2021/2022. Please monitor the Beta.sam.gov site for actual date of solicitation release. To receive automatic notification, select the “Watch this opportunity” feature and follow the steps as indicated.
