SYNOPSIS-BETA.SAM
PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT PROPOSALS IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS
The purpose of this synopsis is to notify interested parties that the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Acquisition (AQ) office anticipates issuing a solicitation for Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS). Services include vessel loading, vessel discharging, cargo receipt and disposition, cargo staging, transfer of cargo, tallying and checking, customs clearance, yard management, and handling of Government provided securing material in support of Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) 838th Transportation Battalion at the Port of Rotterdam, Netherlands. The contractor shall provide sufficient qualified labor, gear equipment and materials to fulfill the requirement.
The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 488320. The period of performance begins 1 November 2021. USTRANSCOM anticipates issuing an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a 5 year ordering period of performance from 1 November 2021 through 31 October 2026 with an optional six-month extension from 1 November 2026 through 30 April 2027 if needed.
Release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) should be available on https://beta.sam.gov (formerly FBO.gov) on or about 11 June 2021. No hardcopies of this solicitation will be issued. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by USTRANSCOM/TCAQ. The solicitation shall be posted in its entirety at this website.
