REPLACE FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS AT
FCI SHERIDAN CONTROL CENTER
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT QUOTATIONS. THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 14 DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15B61222Q00000021 for the award of a firm fixed-price construction contract entitled Replace Halon Fire Suppression System at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Sheridan.
FCI Sheridan is a federal correctional facility located at 27072 Ballston Rd, Sheridan, Oregon, 97378. The project consists of providing all necessary equipment, labor, materials, services, and incidentals required to install a new fire suppression system using Novec 1230 and remove the existing halon fire suppression system. The fire suppression system is located in the FCI Control Center. See the Specification attachment included with the solicitation posting (to be issued at a later date as described herein) for the complete requirements of the work.
The performance period for the project will be 84 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $25,000 and $100,000.
The solicitation will be available approximately on or about August 25, 2022. The solicitation will be posted in Contract Opportunities on Sam.gov in accordance with FAR 5.101(a)(2). Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. An electronic version may be requested by email (SHE-Contracting-S@bop.gov). Any secure/locked documents (if applicable) uploaded with the solicitation will require a specific request at the above email.
All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments, will also be posted electronically in the same location as this notice.
Interested parties are responsible for continuously monitoring this posting to ensure that they have the most recent information about this proposed contract action.
IMPORTANT: Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.
Each offeror’s SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business registration meets requirements. All offerors are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information.
This is an unrestricted solicitation. Faith-based and Community-based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
The Government will award to the responsible offer whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with past performance, technical specifications, and price considered.
