PRE-BID CONFERENCE SUMMARY

Project Title: WINDOW SHADE REPLACEMENTS AT DEPARTMENT OF JUVENILE SERVICES

HEADQUARTERS

Project No.: BPM028362/22-MX-HQ-001

Greetings:

The State of Maryland conducted a Virtual Pre-Bid Conference on Thursday, March 10, 2022. This Summary is being issued to document the Pre-Bid Conference. Mr. Mike Yeager, the Deputy Director of Procurement for the Department of Juvenile Services (DJS), convened the conference, recognized the DJS personnel present and welcomed the vendors on the call. Mr. Yeager advised that the Pre-Bid Conference would not be transcribed but that a written summary would be provided, and reminded bidders that any substantive question(s) should be submitted to the Procurement Officer in writing.

Mr. Yeager, then reviewed sections of the IFB.

The Contract Manager, Mr. Joseph Hester, summarized the IFB, Section 2 (Scope of Work).

Then, the floor was opened to questions from attendees with the caveat that formal written answers to questions would only be given for those questions submitted in writing. A vendor asked about specifications for the head rail system and whether there would be an example given at the Site Visit the next day. Mr. Hester replied that he would provide physical examples of the type of window shade that would be acceptable to the State. There were no other questions. The meeting was adjourned.
