Scope of Work

Purpose:

The purpose of this fixed price lump sum contract is to provide shaded area (free standing canopy for parking of six armored vehicles in front of the Utility building at US Consulate Mumbai. The intent is to protect the armored vehicle glass delamination.

Description of Work:

The intent of this contract is to provide supervision, labour, material and equipment required for design and installation of the free standing canopy matching to the existing free standing canopies at compound

General Instruction

Providing and designing the armored car parking sun shade sail structures similar to the existing canopies to provide protection from the elements including rain, sun, harmful UV rays, hail and animal droppings, using long-lasting hot dip galvanized steel frame with a quality dust resistant PVC fabric min 1500 GSM manufactured by Ferrari or equivalent . The design shall include the foundations and steel structural work. The work shall include installing foundations, canopies and parking pavement matching to the existing, mark the parking lines with reflected paint and have the signage completed.

Contractor shall submit the design and construction methodology to US Government (USG) prior to start the work for approval/review. Once USG accepts design, contractor can proceed with the work.

Contractor shall be responsible for excavation and disposing of surplus soil and debris outside of US consulate premises. Contractor shall take all permissions from local authorities for disposing of trash/debris etc. at dumping grounds.

After completion of work, contractor shall remove all construction surplus material and dress up the area as it was before construction. Contractor shall be responsible to provide barriers, temporary partitions in order to avoid any inconvenience to the occupants in surrounding areas i.e. minimum disturbance to neighbors. Contractor must keep the areas under construction/renovations all time clean.

Permits:

Contractor is responsible to obtain all necessary approvals/permits from local authorities required to build the structure. USG will provide the contractor letters to expedite the permit process. However, it is the sole responsibility of the contractor to obtain permit from local permitting authority.

Materials:

The Contractor shall be responsible to provide all labor, material, equipment and temporary partitions required for installing canopy.

Utilities:

USG shall be providing electrical and water outlet at one point. Contractor shall be responsible for further distribution.

Safety:

Contractor must observe the safety at site per OSHA standards. All workers of the Contractor shall use proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs).

Contract Period:

The Contractor must finish all work required to finish per contract within 120 days from the date of handing over the site physically to the Contractor.

Pre-bid Meeting:

A pre-bid meeting is required with all interested Vendors
