About this file
This document is a Scope of Work (SOW) for a sole-source procurement by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Port Security Unit 307 for range and targetry training services from Asymmetric Solutions, LLC. The SOW outlines the requirements for a 4-day training event to be held at Asymmetric Solutions' facility in Perry, FL from January 9-12, 2025. The USCG requires the use of Asymmetric Solutions' carbine range, targetry, and lodging for up to 75 members, with Asymmetric Solutions providing 2 staff to assist with the training. The SOW includes standards the lodging must meet and specifies what costs the government will and will not pay.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Special Notice announcing the USCG's intent to sole-source the procurement to Asymmetric Solutions, LLC under the authority of FAR 6.302. The notice provides background and justification for the sole-source award, citing Asymmetric Solutions' equipment and lodging as meeting all USCG requirements. The USCG is requesting capability statements from responsible sources by 11/15/2024 to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted, though the government is under no obligation to provide feedback.
