Polymer Blend Machine Addendum 1
1. Essentially pages 4-17 are for bidding contractors…not vendors. Equipment suppliers do not provide bid bonds liability insurance, etc. Please clarify if this section will be removed. I understand that the City will install this equipment, not a contractor…please clarify.
Yes, the city will do the installation. Please disregard any information as far as bonding or anything of that nature. This is simply a materials bid.
2. There is no reference to who the acceptable manufacturers are. I assume the company I represent, Charter Machine, will be an acceptable manufacturer.
Yes Charter Machine is acceptable
3. There is no reference to the type of polymer makeup machine it will be. The previously proposed system was a NEAT polymer machine that transfers and mixes polymer from 55-gallon drums or totes.
Neat
4. There is no reference to the capacity of the polymer machine regarding gallons per minute of pumping capability.
50% speed and 80% stroke = 4.75 gallons/minute 100% speed and 80% stroke = 8 gallons/minute
