About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for consultant services related to the Georgia Statewide Transit Plan (SWTRP) update, involving the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and transit agencies across the state. The project requires the selected consultant to develop a comprehensive statewide transit plan that addresses current and future transit needs, identifies service gaps, evaluates existing transit programs, and recommends improvements to the state's public transportation system. The consultant will be responsible for conducting stakeholder engagement, performing data analysis, developing alternative scenarios, and producing a final plan document with implementation strategies. The work includes coordination with multiple regional transit authorities and local governments to ensure the plan reflects diverse transportation needs across urban, suburban, and rural areas. The contract term and specific response deadlines are not detailed in this document excerpt.

The document does not contain explicit pricing information, funding amounts, or contract award dates within the provided section. However, the project is supported by GDOT and represents a significant planning initiative for Georgia's public transportation infrastructure. The consultant selection will likely be based on demonstrated experience in transit planning, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to manage complex multi-jurisdictional projects. Any specific budget allocations, funding sources, or contract values would be detailed in the associated procurement solicitation documents and bid specifications.
