About this file

This document is an introductory guidance file for the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) funding opportunity application process. It establishes the framework for applicants to understand how to use the General Application Instructions (GAI) in conjunction with specific program announcements. The document clarifies that the program announcement provides the "what to submit" information, while the GAI supplies the detailed "how to submit" instructions for both application preparation and submission procedures.

The document emphasizes that applicants must ensure version alignment between the GAI cover page and the program announcement front page for accurate referencing. Applicants are directed to access the GAI through hyperlinks provided in the program announcement. This introductory file serves as an orientation document rather than containing specific application requirements, deadlines, award amounts, or program-specific details.
