About this file

This document is an introductory guide for CDMRP funding opportunity applications. It explains that the General Application Instructions (GAI) are designed to be used in conjunction with program announcements issued by the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP). The GAI provides supplementary details and procedural guidance for application preparation and submission, while the program announcement contains basic information about what applicants must submit.

The document emphasizes the importance of version alignment between the GAI and program announcement for accurate reference purposes. Applicants are instructed to access the GAI through hyperlinks provided in the relevant program announcement and to verify that the GAI version on its cover page matches the version specified on the front page of the program announcement. This is a cover page or introductory document rather than a substantive guidance document containing specific application requirements or deadlines.
