The procurement sought a qualified vendor to provide and implement a telephone and video visitation system for the county's jail facility. Douglas County issued the notice on July 1, 2024, indicating its intent to award the contract to Smart Communications, contingent upon execution of a written agreement and approval by the Board of Commissioners, with the award anticipated no sooner than July 10th, 2024.

The notice establishes a protest period during which adversely affected or aggrieved proposers may file written objections to the award decision. No specific pricing information, contract term details, or renewal options are disclosed in the notice. Contact for additional information regarding the RFP was identified as Lt. Clayton Ruble at 541-440-4504.
