About this file
The document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for a custom aluminum fish transport tank. The RFQ seeks a vendor to supply and deliver a road-legal fish transport tank with a minimum 750-gallon capacity (600 gallons for lighter loads), to be mounted on a flatbed truck. The tank must include features such as aerators, a baffle system, top loading doors, a rear discharge port, and other specified components to support fish transportation up to 100 miles. The quotation is due by May 6th, 2025, with a required delivery date of June 30th, 2025, to the Naselle Hatchery in Naselle, Washington.
The solicitation is structured to provide preference to small businesses or veteran-owned businesses, with a potential 3% bid preference for vendors who do not require employees to sign mandatory arbitration clauses. The tank is intended to enhance WDFW's fish transfer capabilities across hatcheries and wildlife areas. The procurement follows state guidelines, including considerations for avoiding products with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and adhering to the Build America Buy America Act requirements for infrastructure projects. Payment will be processed upon satisfactory delivery and acceptance of the goods, with the vendor required to provide all necessary paperwork and documentation.
