About this file

This document is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for a hydraulic section bender with a standard die set. The solicitation seeks one hydraulic roll bending machine capable of forming pipe, square tubing, channel, and solid steel bars, specifically intended to support fabrication work at the Skagit Wildlife Area. The quotation is due by May 6th, 2025 at 12 PM PST, with a required delivery date of no later than June 30th, 2025. The machine will be delivered to the Yakima Construction Shop and is designed to enhance in-house fabrication capabilities for fish screening systems, habitat maintenance, and metalworking projects.

The RFQ includes provisions for Small Business and Veteran-Owned Business preferences, with potential bid preference for vendors meeting specific worker rights criteria. The solicitation emphasizes the machine's technical specifications, including a 3.4 hp motor, 220V 3-phase power, hydraulic roll adjustment, mobile control station, and the ability to bend steel profiles with diameters between 1-4 inches. WDFW will process payment upon satisfactory delivery and acceptance of the equipment, with a note about minimizing packaging containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). The procurement is estimated to be under $150,000 and follows Washington State procurement regulations, with potential for future purchase orders under the same terms within one year of award.
