About this file

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for a 35-ton capacity lowboy trailer. The solicitation seeks a specialized trailer designed for transporting heavy equipment, specifically for use in shrub-steppe habitat restoration projects. The RFQ requires one (1) trailer with specific technical specifications, including a hydraulically removable gooseneck, reinforced deck, and multiple loading options. Vendors must submit their quotations by March 25th, 2025, at 12 PM PST, with a required delivery date within 10 weeks of the award date. The delivery location is the Swanson Lakes Wildlife Area in Creston, Washington, with delivery hours limited to 8 AM-4 PM, Monday through Friday.

The procurement follows Washington State's competitive bidding guidelines, with a preference for small businesses and veteran-owned businesses. The RFQ includes provisions for a potential 3% bid preference for vendors who do not require mandatory individual arbitration clauses for employees. The document emphasizes compliance with state environmental initiatives, specifically requesting packaging without polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and avoiding color or dyes. While no specific budget is disclosed, the complexity of the trailer suggests a significant capital investment. The solicitation allows for potential future purchase orders under the same terms within one year of the initial award, providing flexibility for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's operational needs.
