About this file
This document is an amendment to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for a 16-19ft welded aluminum boat. The amendment provides additional information in response to a vendor's question regarding the intended waterways and conditions for the boats. WDFW clarified that the boats will mainly operate in protected waters such as lakes and rivers, rather than choppy conditions on larger rivers or open water. The amendment states that all other terms, conditions, and specifications remain unchanged.
The related state and local contract opportunity seeks bids for the 16-19ft welded aluminum boat for WDFW's training purposes. The contract will be awarded to serve Thurston County, Washington. Potential bidders were instructed to direct any further questions to the designated procurement contact at WDFW.

The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from vendors.
Question – We manufacture various styles of jet boats and are interested in determining the most suitable design for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). Could you provide details on the intended waterways or rivers for these boats? Are they designed for navigating shallow rivers, or will they also encounter choppy waves in larger rivers like the Columbia, or on lakes and reservoirs?
Answer – This boat will mainly operate in protected waters (lakes and rivers).
As a reminder any questions must be directed to Jeremy Finnegan at contractspurchasing@dfw.wa.gov .
