About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound located in New Haven, CT, detailing requirements for a security fence installation project. The scope involves constructing approximately 100 linear feet of chain-link fencing with specific technical specifications, including a 7-foot height, top and bottom tension wires, a 1-foot top guard facing outward at 45-degree angles, and three strands of 12-gauge barbed wire. The fencing must connect to existing property boundaries and extend into the water to prevent circumvention during low tide, with consideration for the corrosive coastal environment by specifying aluminum-coated or polymer-coated materials.
The project has a 30-calendar day performance period from contract issuance, with work to be completed during normal business hours (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday). Contractors must coordinate with the Government, protect existing property, comply with safety regulations, and obtain advance permission for work outside standard hours. The Quality Assurance Inspector (CWO Coyet Carter) will oversee the project, and quotes are to be submitted via email to both the COR and Contracting Officer, broken down by parts and wages on company letterhead. The project is issued by the Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Coast Guard.
