About this file
The Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a calibration services contract for the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Safety Branch, covering the calibration of various safety and industrial hygiene equipment. The procurement is structured as a base year contract from 02/01/2026 to 01/31/2027 with four potential option years extending through 01/31/2031, set aside exclusively for small businesses under NAICS code 541380.
The contract requires calibration of over 100 pieces of specialized equipment including survey meters, radiation detection instruments, thermal anemometers, air quality monitors, and safety sensors. Contractors must utilize NIST and ISO 9001 certified calibration laboratories, provide rapid turnaround options, and be capable of equipment repair or replacement. Key requirements include compliance with regulatory standards (10 CFR Part 36, 29 CFR 1910), manufacturer specifications, and the ability to meet NRL Safety Branch's mission-critical equipment readiness needs. The total equipment list spans multiple categories of scientific and safety monitoring devices across industrial hygiene, explosive safety, and ionizing/non-ionizing equipment types.
