About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details a non-personal services contract for photometer calibration and service for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) and Shop 99. The contract is specifically for NIST traceable calibration of Model 2IN photometers, including before and after calibration data, and a parts kit (P/N: 20-01561-001). The sole source contractor is Air Techniques International, who is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) authorized by the Navy METCAL program to perform these calibrations.
The contract will run from September 1, 2025 to September 1, 2026, as the first year of a 5-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Shop 52 Calibration Lab lacks the capability to calibrate these photometers internally, necessitating outsourcing to the OEM. The primary objectives are to establish a reliable, accurate, and timely calibration service for PSNS/Shop 99 owned photometers, with a performance threshold of no more than one failed calibration of a photometer per year, and compliance with minimum Navy Metcal requirements.
