About this file

This document is a Faithful Performance Bond for the County of Orange, California, which serves as a financial guarantee for a contract between the county and a principal contractor. The bond ensures that the contractor will fulfill all contractual obligations as specified, with the surety company providing financial protection to the county if the contractor fails to meet the contract terms. The bond includes provisions for indemnifying and defending the county, and covers any reasonable expenses and fees incurred in successfully enforcing the obligation.

The bond does not specify the exact contract value or premium, as those fields are left blank for future completion. The document outlines detailed conditions under which the bond remains in effect, including stipulations that changes to the contract, extensions of time, or alterations to the work will not affect the surety's obligations. The bond requires notarization and follows specific California Corporations Code guidelines for corporate signatures, with provisions for either two corporate officers signing or one officer signing with documented authority to bind the corporation.
