DRAFT SCOPE OF WORK

INLS Maintenance Support Stands August 31, 2022

1.0 Scope: Fabricate pedestal style support stands per Department of the Navy EXPO Sealift Support drawing 1600560.

1.1 Specifications:

a. 6’6” High pedestal stands to support a 125 short ton craft @ 8 WTBD positions. Concrete to be 4’-5” diameter X 2’ thick. Engineered shop drawings with calculations designed to equal 60 KIPS sustained vertical dead load (including initial 30% impact), 3” BAR cover, design per AC1318, 5500 PSI fc @ 28 days. Reinforcement per ASTM A615, Grade 60.

b. Cement type or grade (e.g., Marine Cement). Consistency of concrete shall be clean and smooth in appearance.

c. If holes must be cut for galvanizing, the holes will be circular, symmetrical, and free of excess materials and clean in appearance. The hole will be consistent on each stand and placed in the same position on the stand. The holes shall NOT be created by torch. Stands must be neat and professional in appearance and fit for purpose upon arrival.

d. Drill one 5/16” hole in top flange IAW Dwg. 1600560, page 3. Hole shall be drilled prior to galvanizing.

e. Pedestal stand serial numbers will be installed by others at a later date.

1.2. Production Schedule: Contractor must provide a production schedule for phased delivery of stands. Contractor must deliver stands in lots of 6 or 8 at a time and must be delivered as soon as they are completed and inspected. Contractor must provide notice 24 hours prior to delivery date for a Government Quality Assurance Inspection (QAI) to be performed at the Contractor’s fabrication site to ensure stands are fit for delivery.

1.3 Shipping and Delivery: Cost must include shipping and delivery to Blount Island Command at 5800 Channel View Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32226.

a. Shipments can only be delivered during the following specific days and times:

1) Deliveries are accepted at Distribution Management Office (DMO) Receiving Monday through Friday (no Holidays) from 0630 to 1330 for stands that require lift services.
