A pre-bid meeting was held on February 4, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Paw Paw High School, 30609 Red Arrow Highway, Paw Paw, Michigan 49079, with attendance encouraged for all bidders. Bidder qualifications required a minimum of five years of successful experience on similar work, appropriate licensure, and ample financial resources. The bid document included two mandatory alternates—one to omit the 12-inch sand sub-grade and use native soils, and another to omit the 8-inch gravel sub-base and pulverize existing asphalt in place—as well as three unit price options for supplemental excavation and gravel materials. Bidders were required to submit a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement in accordance with Michigan's Revised School Code Section 1267 and an Affidavit of Compliance certifying non-compliance with Iran Economic Sanctions Act provisions. The contract was to be executed on AIA Document A101 Standard Form of Agreement, with the bid remaining binding for 60 days from opening date.
