About this file
The document is a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by Escambia County's Parks and Recreation Department for annual backflow testing services. The RFQ seeks a contractor to perform approximately 70 backflow inspections across county parks, with a requirement to provide both the per-test inspection fee and an hourly rate for potential repairs. The project is scheduled for release on September 24, 2025, with a deadline for questions on September 26, 2025, and a quote submission deadline of October 1, 2025, at 12:00 pm. Vendors must submit electronic quotes through OpenGov Procurement and are required to create a free account to participate.
Vendors must include all travel and business costs in their rates and provide a pricing table with two line items: a fire and domestic line inspection fee and an hourly rate for service repairs. Additional submission requirements include proof of Sunbiz registration, a W-9 form, and a certificate of insurance that lists Escambia County as an additional insured. The county emphasizes that this is a written quote request, not a formal bid, and vendors must confirm the validity of their submitted pricing. The full terms and conditions can be found on the county's website, and the selected vendor will be responsible for sending inspection proof to the county parks department and local utility provider.
