About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for RFP 20-0072 issued by Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) for Parent Workshops & Programs. The RFP seeks proposals for in-house programs and workshops related to parental involvement, with vendors encouraged to submit services that support all grade bands within the District. DPSCD intends to contract with multiple providers to offer a breadth of professional development topics and programs. Vendors may propose any delivery schedule format, including quarterly, monthly, or weekly in-school supports. The District will work with approximately sixteen private, nonpublic schools in addition to public schools, though a specific list of schools and student populations was not disclosed in this document. Vendors may propose services for single locations or District-wide implementation.
Provider qualifications are specified throughout the RFP documentation. DPSCD currently contracts with multiple existing providers for parent workshops and professional development services. Each consultation provided must have a set price with limited duration, and vendors are permitted to charge administrative costs for supervision, planning, preparation, coordination, and compliance. Pricing terms and administrative cost allowances should be detailed in Attachment A of the proposal submission.

Questions & Answers
We provide a SAAS service with professional development consultants as a component of our training and SMART goals supports. Our model contains tools that support personalized career mapping with guidance options, S.M.A.R.T. (academic, SEL, behavioral, personal, reading and financial literacy, etc.) Related to questions 1-4
1. Would the RFP be open to our services and can we be awarded for multiple points in the
RFP?
A: This RFP is for in-house programs and/or workshops related to parental involvement.
Suppliers are encouraged to submit proposals for professional development under the
Professional Development RFP also posted.
2. Does being awarded as an approved vendor for this RFP constitute a commitment of contracted service for the RFP?
A: The District intends to issue contracts to awarded suppliers. Once a contract and purchase order are issued, the expectation is that the vendor will provide services to the
District.
3. Will our service be disqualified from the RFP if we only provide supports for middle and high school students (and educators)?
A: The District is looking for support for all grade bands in the District and selecting one grade band will not disqualify a vendor.
4. For the professional development and/or parental training component of our services, would scheduled quarterly or monthly sessions be sufficient, or would weekly in-school supports be required?
A: The vendor may propose any type of delivery schedule that best supports the program being proposed.
5. How many schools will be serviced? Can you provide a list of these schools by category?
public? and private non-public? What are the number of students in each school to be serviced?
