About this file

This document is a Purchase Description for a 9 kHz to 3 GHz Signal Generator to be procured by the U.S. Army Materiel Command Contracting Command (ACC) Redstone Arsenal for its Army Calibration Laboratories. The Signal Generators will be used to calibrate various test equipment including Radio Test Sets, Frequency Counters, Navigation Test Sets, RADAR Test Sets, and RF Power Test Sets.

The key performance requirements for the Signal Generators include a frequency range of 9 kHz to 3 GHz with 1 Hz resolution, RF output power range of -90 dBm to +17 dBm, and specified levels of spectral purity and modulation capabilities. Vendors are asked to demonstrate compliance with these technical specifications. This is a sources sought, not a formal solicitation, so no proposal submission or award dates are provided. The Army is gathering market research and vendor capabilities to potentially issue a future Request for Proposal (RFP) for these Signal Generators.
