About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) for Lethal Means Safety Prevention Training at Fort Bliss, Texas, issued by the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC)-Bliss, 919th Contracting Battalion. The RFI seeks market research from U.S. businesses regarding a suicide prevention training program targeting up to 17,000 Soldiers, with a focus on evidence-based firearms safety and lethal means reduction. The government is specifically interested in contractors who can provide non-personal, interactive training materials featuring military members with lived experience, including multimedia components, instructors with specific suicide prevention expertise, and comprehensive pre/post/follow-up training surveys.
The RFI requests vendors to respond to six specific questions about their capabilities, including previous similar training experience, ability to perform the work starting in the 3rd Quarter of FY25, primary workforce composition, training materials and assessment approaches, prevention training methodology, and estimated RFP/RFQ response time. Responses are due by 1:00 PM on 18 April 2025, with submissions to be sent via email to CPT Altenberg (matthew.l.altenberg.mil@army.mil) or MAJ Lambert (alan.r.lambert4.mil@army.mil). The RFI emphasizes that this is a market research tool only and does not constitute a formal solicitation, with all response costs to be borne by interested parties.
