About this file

This is a Salient Characteristics specification document for a mobile water treatment trailer requirement with a place of performance at WBAMC and a scheduled delivery date of 5/7/2026. The requirement is for one water treatment trailer designed to support mobile sterilization units by providing separate means of treating supply water to meet specific temperature and quality standards for cold water, hot water, and reverse osmosis (RO) final rinse applications.

The trailer must be a complete turnkey system capable of fitting inside a 52-foot tractor trailer with wood flooring and include the following major components: a 60 gpm RO unit with 1a membranes and eight replacement filters; a 2,000-gallon water storage tank; a multibag filter housing with 40-inch filters rated at 0.1 micron absolute (100 filters) and 0.5 micron absolute (100 filters); a 7.5 HP vertical distribution pump with a 10 HP 460V variable frequency drive; a 44-gallon stainless steel bladder tank; a 1-inch globe valve for water blending; water quality monitoring equipment including a GF Signet 9950 TDS meter; a water softening system; four 120V electric heaters; two 120-gallon electric water heaters maintaining 120-140 degrees Fahrenheit; and a 2 gpm recirculating pump. The contractor must provide site visit services to assess existing utilities and available space, complete turnkey installation with interconnection of all equipment to sterilization units, a maintenance plan with on-call personnel support, and monthly water testing. The supplied water must meet strict quality parameters including sediment filtration of 0-5 microns, specific hardness, dissolved solids, alkalinity, pH, conductivity, silica, chloride, and trace metal concentrations for both cold and hot water supplies, with water maintained colorless in appearance.
