About this file

This is a Sources Sought questionnaire for the Lexington Harbor Breakwater Repairs project issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District. The questionnaire requests detailed company information including socioeconomic status under NAICS code 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction) and requires responses about proposed methodologies for grouting processes, chemical grouts, underwater coverage, QA/QC inspection, warranties, maintenance plans, site access preferences, and project duration.

The related project involves repairing the north breakwater at Lexington Harbor, Michigan, by converting it from a permeable to impermeable structure through the construction of a grout curtain wall (78% of work), plus dredging operations (15%), upland trucking (5%), and beach nourishment placement (2%). The scope includes approximately 21,000 cubic yards of dredging work. Responses are due by 2:00 PM Eastern Time on December 17th, 2024, and should be submitted to the specified contracting officials. The project has a small business size standard of $45 million, and while responses are sought from businesses of all sizes, the government may consider setting aside the requirement for small businesses based on responses received.
