About this file

This document is a Memorandum for Record regarding a Purchase Order for Translation and Interpretation Services in support of Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) logistics support.

The document describes a new requirement for document translation services of approximately 17,500 words per month, except for January 2025 which requires 50,000 words to support a Senior Leader Logistics Symposium. The services include translation, proofreading, editing, and formatting in the required media. The contractor must utilize specific software and include terminology management. The period of performance is 28 August 2024 to 25 September 2025, with an estimated value. The justification cites the need for a specific translation lexicon, and that the incumbent contractor, a local minority-owned company, has provided these services previously. This will be a sole source requirement under the simplified acquisition threshold. The government will publicly post the justification, and the applicable NAICS code is 541930 - Language Translation Services.
